Check horsepowerheaven., Farmer surprised the crowd with this line, as he mentioned the starting of that fourteenth season. "There's a slight possibility we won't open until April, not the usual mid March date." With many in crowd buzzing with wonder he continued, Race Director Wally Duperon at his side, he too with a big smile on his face. "We're gonna dig up the starting line and extend the concrete out to the 660 mark." Work on this has been ongoing for a good while and though not confirmed just yet, it looks very good that we'll see an 1/8th mile of new, smooth concrete in 2005.

Mission isn't worth the long lines, bitchy tech people who do stupid stuff like try and fit 225 street legal cars along the fence to make room for the weekend racers :-\ Oh yeah, and the three run nights where you got there 2 hours before the track opened. The air isn't as good but you get way more seat time.
But if you're running a solid roller and you're streetability is in question, then it is too far away 8)

yea its fun, but when you get there and you need to put new rockers and springs on before you run, thats not fun lol :P

I tried Mission for the first time in 04, had some fun, But the lack of runs at hte latter part of the season pissed me off. Where's Eagle? Do you get more runs? A road trip could be fun!

I enjoyed my first time at mission even tho it was late in the season and I got 2 runs....

maybe they should have 2 separate nights for domestic and imports like friday night import saturday night domestic or when there is a big event weekend put the domestics on thursday night

i agree..there was one time when me and kelly went where it was basically as soon as you finished the run and you parked your car it was time to line up again...

I dont care if the track isnt in its best shape or if there is good air getting that many runs a night would be sweet especially so I can get to know my car better

i have to say that that is the case for everyone...for us guys on street tires the track is a bloody ice rink cuz of all the water they poor on there...just my opinion but i think they should only poor water down for guys coming through on et streets and slicks..and it wouldn't be that tough for them to notice who is and who isn't....

drive around the water box or drive thru than do a small quick burnout to clean the tires, the dont put water on the starting line ;)

i drive around the water box and then do a quick little burnout to clean the tires but it still feels like there's water on them..

almost as dumb as the slick guys who drive their fronts through the water
doesnt matter guru, its called roll out, dont do a burnout in one spot then stop, carry it out 15-20 feet like your supposed to ::)

It's the dripping from the wheelwells that is the problem after a street tire burnout, not the little bitty trail of water that gets burned away after a driven out burnout (slicks). I've treid both driving around and backing in and driving right through-same 60 ft times either way.

79 Z28

i doubt water is an issue in the wheel well, cuz they roll you through the box and stop you after the water. there is no standing water where you burnout, and they constantly sweep it so its just a thin film of water. no issues here ever on launch either :)
