Mach 1 chin spoiler ordeal..

Kay I'm pissed! My front wind defector that goes underneath my front bumper and held on by 2 stupid push pin Ford thingies has popped off on one side so its kinda hangin there waitin to be torn off entirely by a good 'high curb' pull-in at Starbucks!!!...so, I decided that I will eventually try to reattach it when it gets dry and while I'm at it, I might as well get a Mach 1 chin spoiler to dress it up!
Sooo, I call around and get some $ quotes...as high as $135 at Brown Bros., $111 at Richport and $125ish at Metro here in Coq.!! The price differences are only part of my grief...why are they so much more than our southern neighbours!!?? Isn't it like a $70 part down there? I'm gonna call some Bellingham dealers for quotes to see if its worth it to take a quick trip. Mail orders outta the question as I recently found out about border fees..or whatever they call them!!
Anyways, that's my story and I'll now do some research...if anyone knows of a comparably priced dealer (say $100) let me know. Todd

they are about 75 us in the states. If i was u i would avoid the hassle and buy it for the 111 i think dams has it for that price too.

I'm gonna call Bellingham Tues. for a quote...I think it may not be worth the drive when gas is taken into consideration :-\..we'll see. Todd

i'm surprised Brown Brothers is that much more $$$ , they have the biggest stock of body parts in the lower mainland.

Done! I ended up calling 4 dealers (Richport $111 - B/B $135 - Key West $128 - Totem THE WINNA $105)...it didn't come with any damn puch pins...I ended up using 18 (!!) just to make sure it was uniformly flush....the really wierd thing was the spoiler was actually about 1/2" too long on each end with the front flush (?--most peoples' actually sit inwards on the front??) so I had to trim off the excess on each end so its now equadistanced all around (whooooo)..I'll try to put up some shots of it soon. Btw - most people brag about it being a half hour job!! Took me 1 1/2 hours 'cause the damn tape wouldn't stick to the spoiler (it was probably too cold to stick)...it was driving me nuts...but once it was held on, the drilling/plugging went smoothly!! Well actually, I don't actually think I got the 'real' Mach 1 chin!!!...I've been researching and it seems the part I got - from DAMS in Surrey (sorry) - is part # 2R3Z17626AAA...everybody else (States/StangNet info...) got part # 3R3Z17626AAA!!...WTF...after I put it on, I noticed it didn't 'point down' (flat) like I'd seen on Mach 1s...it kinda curls inwards ....it looks great but not the same as the Mach...the goodthing is that it fits flush all around..it's not indented in the front like they all are...which I actually liked!...anyways, if you're interested, Dams was the best local price....pics'll be up when I take some w/my crappy camera!! Got mine at Dams last year for $94. Car is low, it's a bit scratched up now tho. >:( A guy in town has one on his medium blue GT and painted it to match, looks great. Gotta be very careful, paint could flake off if you scratch it a bit like I did. :-\

OH FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! The 03 cobra does have a chin spoiler that pic is just dark i was looking at my muscle mustangs mag and a there was an 03 with a chin sorry about the mix up, like i said i wasnt sure..............
