Default Opinions on a blower brand

Basically would be a big bore dart 331, anderson b451 cam, 205 AFR heads and a Mondo/TFS R combo intake etc. Looking to just blow 10-13psi.

1. Vortech V1 T-trim
2. ATI Procharger D1SC
3 Paxton Novi 2000

I've owned Vortech S-trims before but none of the others. First of all which one would sound the loudest at idle and cruising. I really want a loud bastard. The cam says 6800rpm but probably use a shift point of 6300-6500rpm.

I love the b451 cam. Heres video of similar combos but the loudness of the blower I am looking for.

Vortech T-trim or Vortech group buy? Could check into prices through a friend in Edmonton. If interested let me know and we will go from there. Serious people only.

A buddy had an old procharger with a cog set-up and it was by far the loudest and most obnoxious blower Ive ever heard, think it was the p1 series?.......Paul's old ysi was pretty loud aswell.

Running the Novi on a cog drive I hesitate as I dislike that set up. I would prefer to buy new (Some warranty) on a 10-12 rib. I dislike the pressure on the crank with a cog set up. I can run a brace on the vortech if needed. Not going to max out the engine.

I have to laugh at the upgraded Powerdyne I have as it pulled a real 12 PSI this moning in the cooler weather going onto the highway. Super reliable (must have a good one). Super fun for the cheap price and it sounds pretty nice.

Is it the distance of the belt and pressure on the crank people hate? RPM/Belt issues with the Procharger?

SteveSS's D1SC sounds good considering how loud his car is...and its obviously creating some pretty good power.

so why stay away from procharger?.....

I had a D1SC a few years ago and I loved the performance, sound and low under hood temps. However, I did have some issues involving tensioning of the blower belt. I think the D1 has been sold with two different tensioner setups and I believe the newer versions have an improved design. I always liked the sound of my Procharger more than my buddy's Novi's and Vortech's. Just my opinion...

Yeah i know what your talking about, most guys dont even know how to use the tensioner properly with that setup. Its a real weird setup but once you know how to use it its alright.

Another good thing about the D1SC is that it is self contained, unlike the novi2k, im not sure of the vortech though... its just one less thing to fuck your motor if something goes inside the blower.

Ya, the fact that it's self contained also helps keep the blower itself cooler and then your engine compartment stays cooler. The vortech isn't self contained.
